The Vietnam War represents a long, complicated battle for the soul of America. We researched many sides of the era spanning four presidential administrations, the ideological war of democracy versus communism, and the turbulence of public distrust at home.
We peered into thousands of archival records and found that the use of archival imagery of the era was a sensitive area for the honorary steering committee. To protect the sensitivity of these images, we turned to the use of iconography extrapolated from the actual archival records themselves to communicate eight key story points in the timeline of the war era.

We also brought forward the lasting effects of the war through the personal experiences of Vietnam veterans in a twenty episode video and social media series. Many of their recollections serve as stark reminders of an era where the clash of policy and culture and the fight for the truth were at war as much as the soldiers on the battlefield.
