KaBOOM! has been building playgrounds in underserved communities for over 30 years.  When it came time to launch a new “American Ninja Warrior” style of playscape, Figure was asked to document the first two builds of its kind in Salamanca, NY and Detroit, MI.

KaBOOM! playground builds are often built in just one or two days.  Working with community leaders and corporate partners, they get the entire community to come out and volunteer to build these great parks. We used multiple cameras, on-camera interviews, and still photography to capture the spirit of the day.
